📊The bond market was closed for Presidents Day on Monday .  Long weekends like this can sometimes lead to extra volatility when markets reopen because global financial markets keep moving while the U.S. bond market— which directly influences interest rates—remains paused.

As a result, mortgage rates ticked up yesterday ⬆️, bringing us back to levels just slightly below last Thursday’s. This essentially wipes out most of the gains we saw on Friday. The good news? ✨ Thursday’s rates were already among the lowest in nearly two months!
